The thickness of the lines
The lines must have at least the space of a double needle pass
→ otherwise they will merge as they ageThe smaller the drawing, the more the details should be simplified
Lines that are too thin may disappear over time
👉 Easy test: zoom your drawing to the final size (2–5 cm for example)
If it becomes blurry or illegible
→ it is not tattooable.

A tattoo should remain clear and legible even in 20-30 years
Lines that are too close together end up sticking together

→ plan for letters at least 0.5–0.7 cm high

Some parts of the body make the ink disappear faster:
Fingers / palm → last 2 months to 1 year max
Neck, ribs, friction areas (waist, ankles, etc.)
→ difficult healing, tattoo that deteriorates quicklySkin folds (inside of elbow, knees, etc.) → risk of smudging
